FAQs

Absolutely! A significant number of our participants come solo, and we often place them in groups, typically consisting of 2 or 4 individuals. If you're coming on your own, we suggest opting for one of the 2 or 4-person options, as they are more cost-effective, and we can always find a spot for you within one of the groups comprising other solo participants.

First and foremost, we recommend that all participants obtain cancellation insurance in case you need to cancel your trip, experience flight delays that cause you to arrive late for the activity, or encounter any other unexpected issues.

You will have the possibility to cancel the Tour in accordance with the following indemnity scheme (refunded or to be paid depending on whether the payment was made and received):

  • 100% Refund: If cancellation is notified in writing via email to Kookoo Climb up to 90 days before the first day of the Course (minus a 10% administration fee, so we will refund 90% of the total).
  • 50% Refund: If cancellation is notified in writing via email to Kookoo Climb between 89 and 60 days before the first day of the Course (minus a 10% administration fee, so we will refund 40% of the total).
  • 0% Refund: If cancellation is notified in writing via email to Kookoo Climb 59 days or less before the first day of the Course.

If bad weather or unsuitable conditions force the guide to cancel the trip, Kookoo Climb will:

a) propose a similar activity at a different place where conditions are better, or b) propose to postpone the activity until a later date, or c) cancel. If you refuse option a), the cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by the guide (not the client). Under exceptional circumstances, the company could, however, decide at his sole discretion to refund the client (minus the transaction fee).

If during the program it becomes necessary to hire a taxi service to avoid a stage or part of it, this will be considered an extra payment to be divided among all participants. This may be due to weather conditions on the day of the activity, or an earlier circumstance such as a storm, snow, or natural disaster that has altered the terrain, making it impractical on the scheduled day. Any additional costs arising from these changes, if they exceed the original price, will be covered by the participants.

The nearest airport is Geneva, located just an hour from Chamonix by bus. To book your flights, use our integrated Skyscanner search engine available on our homepage. For accommodation, visit the Alpine Climbing page, powered by Booking.com, to reserve your stay.

Please wait to book your flights and accommodation until after you’ve confirmed your Mont Blanc experience with us. We’ll send you an email with the starting date, a fitness plan to help you prepare, and a gear list. If you need to rent equipment, we’ll also provide cost-effective recommendations once you’re in Chamonix.
