Overview

You will meet your guide in Chamonix the previous afternoon to explain the activity and check the gear (possibility of going with him to rent or buy gear if you need to). The morning of the climb we'll get early to the Aiguille du Midi cable car, where the ridge ends. There we will gear up and we will go down the famous and sharp east ridge to the Plató du Midi, to continue until the old Cosmic Observatory, where the climb begins. The first part consists of snow slopes to the first tower where we will fully enter the ridge; exposed steps, rappels, rock climbing, downclimbing... we won't get bored climbing the ridge. To finish, a staircase will take us to the Terrasse des Cosmiques, already in the Aiguille du Midi cable car, where we will return and have the chance to view our surroundings before going down back to the valley.
