Discover Catalonia's Wildest Climbing Landscapes
Explore the legendary walls of Catalonia: Mont-rebei, and the Pyrenees with our expert local guides
Catalonia is one of Europe's finest climbing destinations, offering an exceptional variety of rock, landscapes, and climbing styles within just a few hours' drive. While many climbers know the iconic towers of Montserrat, some of the region's most rewarding adventures are found in Montsec, Mont-rebei, and the Catalan Pyrenees.
The vast limestone walls of Congost de Mont-rebei rise dramatically above a deep river gorge, hosting some of the most famous multi-pitch routes in Spain. Nearby, the cliffs of Àger or Sant Llorenç de Montgai offer hundreds of long routes on excellent rock, ranging from accessible classics to committing all-day adventures. Further north, the Pyrenees add a more alpine character, combining rock climbing with spectacular mountain scenery and a true sense of wilderness. Granite is predominant there.
These areas are perfect for climbers looking to move beyond the crag and experience longer routes in stunning natural settings. Whether you're seeking a first multi-pitch climb or an ambitious objective on a big wall, Catalonia offers endless opportunities for unforgettable days in the mountains.
