Overview

Our Ama Dablam program is led by Marc Subirana, our expert IFMGA mountain guide with extensive experience in the Himalayas. Over 23 days, we combine trekking with an ascent of Kyajo Ri (6,186 m), a less-traveled peak that offers a unique and mystical atmosphere. This climb ensures optimal acclimatization before reaching our ultimate goal: the summit of Ama Dablam.

Highlights

Ama Dablam (6,812m) + Kyajo Ri (6,186m)

Ama Dablam (6,812m) + Kyajo Ri (6,186m)

In addition to climbing Ama Dablam, our program offers the opportunity to trek to Kyajo Ri and summit the peak for participants who wish to take on this extra challenge. The valley where we carry out the acclimatization trek is less traveled and off the beaten path, providing a truly unique and untouched environment. This serene and less-frequented region offers a special, mystical atmosphere, allowing you to experience the Himalayas in a more intimate and exclusive way, away from the crowds typically found on other routes. It’s the perfect setting to acclimatize while soaking in breathtaking views of towering peaks and remote landscapes.

Ama Dablam + Kyajo Ri

Climb one of the most beautiful mountains in the world

Our expedition focuses on the majestic Ama Dablam, a technically challenging peak in the heart of the Himalayas. To ensure a safe and successful summit, we'll first tackle Kyajo Ri (6,186m) as our acclimatization peak. Both mountains reside in Nepal's Khumbu region, famed for Everest and breathtaking landscapes.

Deep valleys carve through the terrain, dotted with Sherpa villages showcasing unique Himalayan culture. Kyajo Ri offers a less technical climb than Ama Dablam, allowing our bodies to adjust to the altitude while rewarding us with stunning panoramic views.  This crucial acclimatization process prepares us for the challenges of Ama Dablam's steep rock faces and exposed ridges.

The Khumbu's beauty and cultural richness, combined with the thrill of climbing, make this expedition an unforgettable journey towards our ultimate goal: Ama Dablam.

 a) propose to postpone the activity until a later date, or b) cancel. If you refuse option a), the cancellation policy will apply. Please note, however, that the call to cancel a trip due to bad weather can only be made by the guide (not the client). Under exceptional circumstances, the company could, however, decide at his sole discretion to refund the client (minus the transaction fee).

If during the program it becomes necessary to hire additional services to avoid a stage or part of it, this will be considered an extra payment to be divided among all participants. This may be due to weather conditions on the days of the activity, or an earlier circumstance such as a storm, snow, or natural disaster that has altered the terrain, making it impractical on the scheduled day. Any additional costs arising from these changes, if they exceed the original price, will be covered by the participants.

Absolutely! To ensure a highly personalized experience, this trip is limited to 2-4 participants. The advertised price is based on a group of 4.  For groups smaller than 4, the price per person will be:

You will need to bring the rest of your personal gear, such as harness, helmet, B3 alpine boots, crampons, ice axe, clothes, etc. After booking your spot, we will send you a complete kit list for the expedition.
