Day 2: Cala Ferrera

We wake up early and sail along the coasts of Mallorca in the morning, arriving at Cala Ferrera Bay by noon. This spot is perfect for deep-water soloing. There are also many easier routes for beginners in Santanyí. You'll find endless options here: crimps, pockets, slopers, overhanging walls, and vertical cliffs. You will spend the first night in this area.

Day 3: Cala Varqués

Today, we will anchor right in front of the beautiful Varques beach, the favorite spot for climbers visiting the island. There will be a fantastic selection of routes: some short and easy (up to 10-15 m) and others more challenging and long. Cala Magraner, a classic sport climbing crag is very close, so this would also be an option.

Day 4: Porto Cristo

We head to Porto Cristo, a picturesque fishing village with turquoise waters. Spending the day here will allow you to enjoy the sun, swim, hike, or climb at Cova del Diablo and Torre dels Falcons. These are some of the best deep-water soloing areas in the world, so make sure to take full advantage of them!

Day 5: Porto Colom

Once again, we’ll anchor in another exquisite area, this time in Porto Colom. It’s the perfect spot for both beginners and experienced climbers trying deep-water soloing for the first time: some will enjoy easier routes, while others will attempt more difficult and longer climbs.

Day 7: Es Pontàs and Porto Pi

This Mallorca cruise wouldn’t be complete without visiting the famous Es Pontàs arch. Chris Sharma made it famous with his King Line video and project. There are also easier routes in the area. On the way back, we’ll stop at Porto Pi, a site of interest for the climbing community, as rock climbing started there in the early 1980s. We will return to the Palma port at 6 pm. Farewell dinner at a restaurant in downtown Palma.

Mallorca, the Birthplace of Deep Water Soloing

Mallorca: Where Climbing Meets the Sea

Mallorca is the birthplace of deep water soloing (DWS)—a very cool form of climbing where the sea itself is your safety net. With no ropes or harnesses, climbers climb the island’s stunning limestone cliffs, which rise dramatically from crystal-clear waters, offering pure freedom. Famous routes like the iconic "Es Pontàs" arch have made Mallorca a pilgrimage site for climbers worldwide, eager to push their limits above the sea. Beyond the thrill of DWS, Mallorca’s breathtaking landscapes, beaches, and rich culture make it a dream destination for adventurers seeking both challenge and beauty. In this trip, we will explore world class DWS spots as well as sport climbing crags.
