The Climbing Backpackers have earned a strong reputation within the climbing community for their positive energy and engaging content, showcasing the incredible variety of sport climbing crags they've explored over the past year. Now, we're offering you the chance to join them for an unforgettable climbing adventure in one of the world's top climbing destinations: Spain's Costa Blanca. On this unique trip, you'll stay in a comfortable country house equipped with all the amenities you need for relaxation after a day on the rocks. Each morning will begin with a refreshing yoga session led by Lydia, our expert local yoga teacher, to help you stretch and prepare for the climbs ahead. For those seeking extra guidance, our experienced rock climbing instructor will be available for advice and support. This week promises exciting climbs on some of Europe’s finest sport climbing crags, plenty of sunshine, and an amazing group of climbers to share the experience. Get ready for great vibes, exciting challenges, and unforgettable memories on the Costa Blanca! Note: This is not a guided trip. You need to be an autonomous climber

Staying in a very special Spanish country house
The country house where we will stay has a swimming pool, BBQ, hot tub, table tennis and many more things, plus its only 10km from Calpe, one of the hotspots for multipitch climbing in Costa Blanca

The Climbing Backpackers are Nettie and Dave, a British climbing couple who have become very popular on Instagram for their good vibes videos, their incredible trips through Asia, Kalymnos and Turkey and because in each of their destinations they create very complete and appealing visual guides.
Xavi Coll
Xavi is a Rock Climbing Instructor with extensive climbing experience both in the UK and internationally. Friendly and passionate about the sport, he knows the Costa Blanca like the back of his hand and he brings his enthusiasm to each session through his engaging teaching methods and proactive approach.
Lydia Malagon
Lydia is our local yoga teacher from Calpe, who will lead us in outdoor morning yoga sessions every morning for those who want to start the day with flexibility. We will do yoga in the garden as we welcome each new day.

Day 1 - Welcome to Costa Blanca
The first day we will meet at a point on the Costa Blanca, probably Calpe, and from there we will leave for the country house. There will be participants from different countries and different flights, but we will meet at noon at the latest, so we can take advantage of the afternoon for logistics of grocery shopping for the week, check in and organizing the days. If we have time, we will go climbing in some nearby crag.
Days 2 to 7 - Climbing Time!
We’ll start each day with a yoga session, followed by breakfast, and then head to a climbing sector chosen by the group. With two vans, we can split into groups for different crags or arrange multipitch climbs. Logistics and daily plans will be discussed each evening.
Also, we'll enjoy the local food and bars after climbing if we want to have dinner out.

You'll Be Staying Here
Casa El Sequer
El Sequer is a house with a lot of character and in a privileged location on the Costa Blanca. Just 10 minutes from Alicante, it is close to a multitude of climbing crags. In addition, the house includes a swimming pool, BBQ, very large garden, hot tub, table tennis, etc.
The rooms are doubles to share, so there are no singles. Rooms with double beds and two beds. Let us know your room preference when booking your spot.
FAQs
What are the necessary skills to participate in the trip?
Not really, beginners are welcome! However, you'll enjoy more if you can at least climb V+ in top rope in the gym. If you also have some leading experience, much better, since you will enjoy the overall experience much more.
Whats our cancellation policy?
First and foremost, we recommend that all participants obtain cancellation insurance in case you need to cancel your trip, experience flight delays that cause you to arrive late for the activity, or encounter any other unexpected issues.
You will have the possibility to cancel the Tour in accordance with the following indemnity scheme (refunded or to be paid depending on whether the payment was made and received):
- 100% Refund: If cancellation is notified in writing via email to Kookoo Climb up to 90 days before the first day of the Tour (minus a 5% administration fee).
- 50% Refund: If cancellation is notified in writing via email to Kookoo Climb between 89 and 60 days before the first day of the Tour (minus a 5% administration fee).
- 0% Refund: If cancellation is notified in writing via email to Kookoo Climb 59 days or less before the first day of the Tour.
If bad weather or unsuitable conditions force the guide to cancel the trip, Kookoo Climb will:
a) propose a similar activity at a different place where conditions are better. If you refuse option a), the cancellation policy will apply.
Is there a minimum number of participants for the trip?
Certainly! The minimum group size is 7 people, so please hold off on purchasing your plane ticket until we confirm the trip. Once the departure is confirmed, we'll send you an email notification, allowing you to proceed with booking your flights.
