Should I get a climbing insurance?
Definitely, we recommend you to obtain a climbing / mountaineering insurance to cover your trip.
We recommend the insurance offered by the Austrian Alpine Club, which is affordable (around €70 per year) and provides worldwide coverage.

Weather in Todra / Morocco
In autumn and spring, the weather in Todra Gorge is generally excellent for climbing — dry, sunny, and mild, making both seasons some of the best times to visit.
During autumn (September to November), temperatures gradually cool down. September is still quite warm, with daytime highs between 28–34°C (82–93°F) and nights around 15–20°C (59–68°F). October offers ideal climbing conditions, with daytime temperatures around 22–28°C (72–82°F) and cooler nights between 10–15°C (50–59°F). By November, days are still pleasant (18–24°C / 64–75°F), but mornings and evenings can get chilly, with lows dropping to around 5–10°C (41–50°F).
In spring (March to May), conditions are very similar but warming up rather than cooling down. March brings fresh mornings and evenings, with daytime highs around 18–24°C (64–75°F) and lows between 6–10°C (43–50°F). April is one of the best months for climbing, with comfortably warm days (22–28°C / 72–82°F) and mild nights. By May, it starts to get hotter again — daytime highs often reach 28–34°C (82–93°F), and nights stay around 15–20°C (59–68°F), making shaded climbing sectors more appealing.
Rain is rare in both seasons, though occasional showers can happen in March or November. The air is typically dry, and even when temperatures rise, the low humidity helps keep conditions comfortable. Mornings and evenings can be quite cool, so it’s a good idea to bring layers — light clothing for the day and a warmer jacket for early mornings or after sunset.
