Morocco | Taghia Personalized Climbing Trip
Welcome to the land of amazigh! This is a personalized trip for individuals or couples. 1:1 or 1:2 guiding ratio.
SOLD OUTOverview
This is a personalized trip, from 1 to 2 pax groups. You will have a guide just for you who will take you climbing to routes according to your level. Individuals or couples are ideal. In the last 10 years, Taghia has become the mecca of difficulty climbing in North Africa, offering an adventure terrain that will take you deep into the heart of Morocco. The area has become very popular in the climbing community thanks to classic routes opened by climbers such as Christian Ravier, Remi Thivel, Arnaud Petit, and the Pou brothers. Incredible lines cross a sea of brown limestone of amazing quality. This trip is suitable only for climbers with a minimum consolidated level of 6b/+ as there aren't any climbs for beginners and almost all the routes require a certain level of commitment. The terrain is exposed, the routes are long, and there is little infrastructure in the area. Your knees aren't shaking with excitement yet? Getting to Taghia is an odyssey. There is no road and cars do not reach the town. Reaching it is only possible by donkey or on foot (which makes the experience even more wild and attractive). One of the great classics of Taghia is Baraka, with almost 700 meters of climb and difficulties around 6b/c. A must for every visitor. We recommend Groupe Montagne Epinal (6c+), Belle et Beréber (6b+), Le Rêve d’Aicha (6a+), Canyon Apache (6c+) and Au nom de la reforme (6c). The strongest climbers already venture into Les Rivières Pourpres (7c), l’Axe du Mal (7c), and even Fantasía (7c). You will be staying with Saïd and Mohamed at their gite Taoujdate, a perfect place to rest after an intense day of climbing. Their hospitality includes food, accommodation, and guiding services.
